A private family medical-record vault

Every record your family keeps, archived and understood.

Photograph lab results, prescriptions, and discharge papers. Vellum reads them on your device, lets you verify every value, and tracks the numbers that matter — across years and across the whole family.

The on-device promise

Medical records are the data that should never touch the cloud.

So Vellum doesn't put them there. Your documents are read, parsed, and understood entirely on your device. Nothing transits a server — there's no server to transit. Cloud-vision tools charge per page forever and quietly keep a copy; Vellum does neither.

  • On-device OCR and deterministic parsers — no document leaves your phone.
  • Encrypted at rest and excluded from cloud backups by default.
  • Zero inference cost means scanning is unlimited — and lifetime pricing is honest.
What Vellum does

A record-keeper you can actually trust.

It organizes, trends, and explains your own records in plain language — you stay in control of every number it keeps.

Scan & extract typed values

Capture a lab report, prescription, or discharge summary. On-device OCR and deterministic parsers pull out the structured fields — analyte, value, reference range, and date — instead of leaving you a flat photo.

Verify every value

A mandatory confirmation step shows each extracted number beside its source image. You approve it before it's saved — trustworthy, never blind AI.

Trends over years

Watch a single value move across every test you've ever filed. Longitudinal charts turn a drawer of paper into a clear line.

Ask your records

Get answers from your own vault — locally, never sent off-device.

“When was Dad's last tetanus shot?”

Plain-English context

A short, plain-language note on what a value generally measures and where it sits versus its reference range — context for your own records, not advice.

A multi-profile family vault

Keep separate, encrypted profiles for you, your parents, your partner, and your kids — switch between them in a tap. One place for the whole household's paperwork across every provider, excluded from cloud backups.

How it works

From a photo on the counter to a clear, trusted record.

1

Scan

Photograph a lab result, prescription, or discharge paper. OCR runs on your device — the image never leaves it.

2

Confirm each value

Review every extracted number beside its source crop and approve it. Nothing is saved until you say it's right.

3

File to your vault

Confirmed values land in an encrypted, backup-excluded profile for the right family member.

4

Trend & answer

See values chart over years and ask plain questions of your own records — all locally.

Who it's for

Built for the people holding the whole family's paperwork.

The sandwich generation

Managing two households at once

You're keeping your own records straight while also tracking aging parents' results, prescriptions, and discharge papers across a tangle of different providers. Vellum gives every person their own organized profile.

Caregivers

Answering questions on the spot

“What was the last reading?” “Which medication, what dose?” With every value confirmed and filed, the answer is one search away — without digging through a folder or a phone's camera roll.

Chronic-condition tracking

Watching the numbers over years

For anyone following a value test after test, Vellum turns scattered reports into one longitudinal trend — so the long arc of a number is visible at a glance, in your own private archive.

Pricing

One archive for the whole family.

Because parsing is free once it's on your device, scanning is always unlimited — and lifetime pricing is something we can actually stand behind.

Free

Unlimited scanning and storage for a single profile — the structural advantage cloud rivals can't match.

Questions

The two questions everyone asks first.

Does anything get uploaded?
No. Vellum reads and parses your documents entirely on your device using on-device OCR and deterministic parsers. No page, image, or value is ever sent to a server — there is no server in the loop. Your vault is encrypted on the device and excluded from cloud backups by default.
Is this medical advice?
No. Vellum is a tool for organizing, trending, and understanding your own records — a vault and a record-keeper, not a doctor. Plain-English notes give general context about what a value measures; they are not diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your health.
Why do I have to confirm every value?
Because your records should be trustworthy, not guessed. Every extracted number is shown beside its source image and saved only after you approve it. That human-in-the-loop step is the whole point — you're never relying on a black box for something this important.
Is scanning really unlimited?
Yes. Because all parsing runs locally, there's no per-page cost to pass on to you. Cloud-vision services charge for every page forever; Vellum doesn't, so you can scan as much as you need on any plan.
What kinds of documents can I file?
Lab reports, prescriptions, and discharge summaries are the core. You can capture them for any family profile you set up — yourself, your parents, your partner, or your kids — and keep records from multiple providers together in one organized archive.
Quietly premium. Genuinely private.

Give your family's records a home you can trust.

A calm, archival vault for the paperwork that matters most — read on your device, verified by you, and never uploaded.
